A New Beginning!

I thought about making my first post be on New Year's Day. Just scheduling it to automatically post on that day. But I just don't feel like waiting.

So here we are. December 27th 2025 at 05:13 in the morning.

It kind of seems like I might be really doing this whole Typewriter thing. So I guess I better start documenting my journey, huh?

This is my first ever blog, so like.... bear with me.

I've been fascinated with mechanical machines since as long as I can remember. Things that whirr, click, ding or tick. Mechanical watches, clock movements, pinball machines, player pianos, and of course typewriters.

The machines that people used to make back in the day had completely different feel to them than those that are made today. Nowadays, it's all streamlined, and minimalistic. Computer chips, glass and plastic. Nothing to really get your hands on. Not to mention everything is built to be disposable! Such a waste!

But back in the day, when things were built to last. They were also built with an engineer's creativity unleashed! They were learning how to make springs, gears, linkages and sprokets do all sorts of things that today's inventors could only dream of.

Add on to this the fact that I've always been a writer at heart, and this is why I began to be interested in typewriters. The wondrous machines of yesteryear!
